H. Fior General Contractor, Inc. has been in the construction business for over 49 Years. It's founder, Harry Fior, began his construction career after serving in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war, he entered the carpenter's apprenticeship program and began working for several contractors. His experience grew as he worked in the residential, commercial, and industrial areas. His first commercial job was for a local grocery store in Lorain, Ohio. This lead to Other projects including a furniture store, A&P grocery stores, Zayre Stores as well as A Lutheran Church and the Italian American Veterans club.
Harry Fior adopted a philosophy of honest hard work as well as quality workmanship. The result has been a reputation steeped in integrity, quality and consistency that has lasted over 49 years. H. Fior General Contractor Inc. has thus emerged as a well known general contractor in Northern Ohio. Project sizes have ranged from a few thousand dollars to over five million.

In 1978 Gregory H. Fior, the founder's son, joined the company after attending
Marquette University and a few years in law school. In 1985, Gregory H. Fior was
named president and has managed the company to the present. Working in tandem
with his father Gregg has broadened and diversified the company's interest into
design/build projects, development, and real estate acquisitions.
H. Fior General Contractor Inc. maintains a professional staff of qualified and skilled
personnel and does to serve the construction needs of its clients. The company maintains
its own personnel and does not sub-out all of its work like many contractors. This type of
management provides the client with better service and accelerates the completion of the
project according to the clients schedule.
